The slide length is shorter than the advertised 1 meter due to the slider carriage’s width. The Glidetrack SD is based on a 10mm rail with a 40mm wide slider car. It is light and strong made of hard anodized aluminium – capable of handling a camera kit up to 4kg. The bearings are industrial grade self lubricating plastic making them extremely insensitive to dirt and dust. The SD is perfect for non-gripped DSLR camera bodies such as the Canon 5D Mk II, 7D, and new 550D / Rebel ( T2i ) and plenty of other similar sized SLR and video cameras.
